Matt is a civil litigation attorney, focusing his practice on the defense of insurance claims and related lawsuits, representing individuals and insurance companies throughout Ohio and Kentucky.  Matt’s evolving law practice extends to commercial litigation, representing individuals and companies involved in business disputes, and litigating complex personal injury, including vehicle and trucking accidents, and wrongful death claims.

Prior to joining White, Getgey & Meyer, Matt was an Associate Attorney at a large personal injury litigation firm, handling all aspects of claims ranging from neighborhood dog bites to catastrophic semi-truck wrecks.  Matt’s style of practice can be summed up as tenacious and detail focused. In each case, Matt’s goal is to deliver the same level of representation and communication he hopes his wife or daughter would receive should they be in the shoes of his client.  Matt understands the role of an attorney boils down to solving problems. “When you come into my office, I expect and encourage you to shift all burdens onto my shoulders. I can’t promise it will be easy, but at the end of your representation, if I do my job, you will leave those burdens at my door.”

When Matt is not fighting for his clients, he can usually be found spending time with his wife, Rachel, and their daughter, Scarlett. He is also an avid golfer and die-hard fan of the Buffalo Bills and Sabres.
